Census Release Question-Alfred Hoffmann

Can someone tell me what is the latest year of census record that are viewable?  I'm looking for a census record for AFTER 1856 for Alfred Ernest Hoffmann, born March 16, 1844, in Slagelese.  I have one from when he was young.  I'm looking for one after he was married to Clara Schmidt Tychsen.

The 1880 Naestved census has been transcribed on DDD but they are not listed there then.

Here in the US, we have a census done every 10 years.  How often were they done back then, do you know?

You may not find them in Denmark after marriage:  
The marriage record attached (Skt Peder opslag 158 #16) listed Alfred's address as Flensborg, which after the 1864 war became Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany:  If they moved there after the wedding, they will not be in Danish censuses.

Could be coincidence of names, but the Hamburg passenger lists show an Alfred Hoffmann 36 from Flensburg departing 30 July 1879 for New York on ship Westphalia. 

The Westphalia arrived NY 13 August 1879, listing Alfred Hoffmann 27(!) Merchant from Prussia.

The Hamburg passenger lists also show Clara Hoffmann 37 departing 9 March 1881 for New York on ship Lessing, with children Oranie? 12 and Alfred 11.  I can't read their place of origin (see attachment).

The Lessing arrived NY 23 March 1881, listing Clara and children from Prussia.
