Hello!

I'm in need of some help.

I found this about my relative in Denmark:

Efternavn:    Ericsson   Fornavn:    Johanna

Ank. fra (region):    Kristianstads Län
Ank. fra (lokal):    Ottarp
Fødeland:    Sverige
Føderegion:    Kristianstads Län
Fødelokal.:    Stenestad
Opholdsbogsdater:    01.11.1894
Opholdsbogsembede:    Kronborg Østre Birk

Tj./oph.sted (sogn):    Hornbæk
Tj./oph.sted (stedn.):    Borsholm

Tj./op.sted(pr(vr):    Mathiesen
Kildenavn:    Helsingør Byfoged - Opholdsbogsprotokol 1875-1920 G 249

Where do I find this "Opholdsbogsprotokol"?
And how do I find any "Folketællinger" which could have any information about this girl?

Since she had 2 childrens born outside marriage I'm trying to find the father of the childrens.
So starting out with Denmark where she had a romance with somebody.

Kind regards,
Andrée

Hello!

I've tried to find her from your directions but without any success.

The archive doesn't include the year she moved to Denmark. The "Folketællinger" only includes the year 1890 and 1901. So she shouldn't be included in any of them.

She moved back to Sweden and gave birth to a Second child in 1895.

How do I proceed, is there any possibility to help me out finding her?
I have some trouble to read old writings and especially Danish

Kind Regards,
Andrée

Hi Andrée,

If Johanna Ericsson came to Denmark from Sweden on 1 Nov 1894 and gave birth to a child in Sweden in 1895, it is very doubtful that there are any records of her in Denmark.  Sorry.

Hi Andrée,

You won't find her in any folketælling, since there wasn't any census in Denmark between 1890 and 1901, except in Copenhagen 1895.

The Helsingør Byfoged Opholdsprotokol can be found at Rigsarkivet in Copenhagen, but will probably contain no more information than seen in the database:

http://www.sa.dk/content/dk/daisy/arkivserie_detaljer?a=helsing%C3%B8r+byfoged&b=&c=&d=1875&e=1923&f=&g=&h=&ngid=784294&ngnid=784298&heid=1641882&henid=1641882&epid=&faid=&meid=&m2rid=&side=&sort=&dir=&gsc=&int=&ep=&es=&ed=

I'm not quite sure if Johanna should have reported her departure to Sweden to Helsingør Byfoged. Since this is not recorded in the database, maybe she didn't report it? Or maybe she should report to the Sognefoged in Hornbæk parish, but I can't find the relevant protocol in the archives.

Best regards,

Hello Everyone!

It sounds terrible.

I was going through my information one more time.

She moved to Denmark 1888-10-29 the first time.
And moved back to Sweden and Stenestad 1893-06-11. To give birth to the first child.

Which died in Aug 1894, a couple of months later she moved back.

And the rest you already know about.

Thanks for helping me out!

Kind regards,
Andrée

Hej,

If the children were born in Sweden and not in Denmark, there will be no paternity cases in Denmark.

If the Swedish chuchbook says no father/oäkta you may as well consider the case closed. You will never find the fathers.
