Danish Military questions

I do know of the LDS danish military rolls etc. and the Haerens arkive in denmark, but was wondering if there were any online sites listing, explaining danish military units.  I have a photo of an ancestor from Stovring outside Aalborg with 30 on his kepi style hat and was wondering if it was 30th infantry or ?

Does anyone have access to the military book "Den Danske Søetat  1814-1932" and does it cover soldiers at the "sergeant" level? 

And in the census my ancestor has the following as occupation-

pensionet oversergent
Pensionist fhv. Overcegent   

Would this mean retired sergeant getting a pension, or is he a sergeant working on pensions for soldiers outside of Aalborg?

About the number on the hat: Don't know.

About the book: The full title is:
T. A. Topsøe-Jensen: Officerer i Den dansk-norske Søetat 1660-1814 og Den danske Søetat 1814-1932
So it covers officers in the navy, not sergeants, and not the army.
There are similar works about army officers, but not about sergeants.

'pensionere oversergeant' means retired supreme sergeant now living on pension.
