I would like information on any descendants of the following children of Hans Rasmussen Skafte (1804-1858) and Karen Pedersen (1815-?) and information on these individuals as well;
Peder Christian Skafte - b. 1841
Vilhelm Ferdinand Hansen Skafte - b. 1844
Niels Johan Hansen Skafte - b. 1849
Caroline Amalie Hansen Skafte - b. 1852

I am a descendant of the 5th child Edward Waldemar Hansen Skafte who emigrated to the US in 1880.

Thank you,
P. Fonstad

Peder Christian Skafte must have died small?   I find his birth in Nakskov 30 Aug 1841, but he was not listed in the household 1850 census.

He is also not listed in this 1855 census, which appears to be the family before Hans died, with two additional children that you didn't list:

Maribo, Lollands Nørre, Nakskov Købstad, optegnelse 5 side 189, , , , FT-1855
Hans Skafte 52  Gift
Karen Petersen 38  Gift hans kone
Wilhelm Skafte 11  Ugift deres søn
Johan Skafte 5  Ugift deres søn
Pauline Amalie Skafte 3  Ugift deres datter

But I didn't find either a death record or confirmation for Peder in Nakskov.

EDIT:   He must not have died as this is probably him in 1860, working as a servant:

I think Pauline in FT-1855 is an error/misinterpretation - should be Caroline. Was Niels Johan born after the census 1 Feb. 1850, or is he omitted in the 1850 census?

The information in my first post was vetted by a very distant relative.  This relative is a descendant of one of my great grandfathers x 4 and his second wife.  I was aware that the first child was probably being raised by an uncle on his mother's side.  I also have the information from the Danish Emigration Database for Edward and his wife Anna Nielsdatter Madsen who signed up on the same day 10/2/1880.  I was also aware that his older brother had also signed up but have no information as to whether he actually did emigrate even if for a short while.  He apparently shows up in the 1890 census.

I just wanted to clarify.  Thank you all,
