Marriage: Bjert, Nørre Tyrstrup, Vejle  1832-1854 opslag 279 #3  (Anna Catharina Juhl)

On the marriage record, I can clearly see it says Anna Catharina Juhl and then lists her father as Peder ? Juhl of Binderup.  But what does it say after that?  I think I see something about "Anne Marie", is that correct?


I think this is the same woman, but I can't read the most important parts of the records to comfirm.

PS- Is her father Peter Lauresen Juhl? I'm not sure of the middle name.

It does look like it must be the same girl, and it wouldn't be the first time a name has changed: one of my ancestors, Marie Kirstine, is written at baptism as Ane Cathrine - not even close!!

But the name of the father fits, the year of birth - what we're missing is her confirmation. That would state the date of her smallpox vaccination, which is written at the marriage too.

The question is which of the names is the correct. I found this census:

Keep digging, Erik. It is not easy, as very few cencuses have been transcribed, but I would assume it was the same girl.

The name of her father is Peder Lauesen Juhl.

I find two births:

Anne Catharine Juhl born September 9. 1828 opsl. 179 #23.

Anne Marie Juhl born Oktober 15. 1829 opsl. 188 # 35.

The marriage of Anne Catharine shows that she was vaccinated July 25. 1829.
