Hans Lund, sognefoged i Barrit

Hello all,

Forgive me for writing in English; I am just beginning to learn Danish. My mother's family (Birkebak) emigrated to the United States from Vejle amt in 1874.

I am a descendant of this Hans Lund through his daughter, Margrethe Elsebeth Hansdatter (born about 1784), who married Jens Christian Nielsen.

I have information from the book 'slægten Lund af Stoubylund', about the descendants of Jørgen Hansen Lund (Hans Lund's grandfather). I am interested in Jørgen Hansen Lund's ancestry.

I see that FamilySearch has a profile for Jørgen Hansen Lund which indicates he was the son of a Hans Olufsen, but does not offer any sources to support this identification. See:

Information on FamilySearch is often speculative. Does anyone know if there is any evidence for this connection?
