 I am still searching for the Church Record Death of.

August Vilhelm Anton Schopzsinky.
Born 30 Oct 1831 in Rensborg
Died 12 May 1911 in Kobenhavn Classensgade.

Have looked in the Churchs Sundby, Trinitatis, Citadel, Holmen,Vor Frue,VorFrisler,Frihans, St. Jokobs, St. Johannes, Nazaret, Sion, Christian, and Frederberg, Garnisons.

Maybe his body was sent back to Rensborg.

Has any one got anymore suggestions?

Hi,
he could be registered by the German Chuch St. Petri i Copenhagen but those books are not available on AO.
Otherwise he could also be registered by the "Alm Hospital" but the book of deaths for 1909-1917 is not on AO. I will check the books at LAK this saturday.

Hi Aileen,
he's death is not recorded at St. Petri church.
He is found in the 1880 census in Copenhagen living in Citadellet but he is not in Politietsregisterblade. How do you know that he died 12 May 1911 in Classensgade?

In census 1890 he lived with his wife at Classensgade 14. His son and wife lived with them.
I am I afraid lost the image no. (two images). His son died in 1914:

I found his son in one more census. Can't remember in which. I happened to throw my note away. I couldn't find his son's death in Vor Frelser, didn't look in Christian.

Couldn't someone look him up in the funeral registers at Københavns stadsarkiv? I guess that he lived at De Gamles by. (Old Folks' village).

Was there perhaps an old folks' home/hospital for retired soldiers/officers in Copenhagen? Schøpzinsky senior was a former military.

You find the son's death in Christian 1910-1917 image 57. He died at Öresundshospitalet.
