It then list the residence in this location; there are 69 individuals listed and the one I am interested in is record 7839. It lists him as "Divorced" I believe this is wrong and feel it should be "Widow" in that his wife died 18 Mar 1849.

I am trying to locate the original document via DDD and can get the 1850 for Aarhus Købstad. The Placename given in Danish Family Search is: Aarhus Fattigstiftelse. I am having a difficult time locating this specific location within the DDD Census.

Can someone tell me how I can locate this specific location and help me determine whether Mathias Weis is "Divorced" or "Widowed"?  Thank you.

The reason that I am questioning this is that in her death notice found in 1844-1851 Aarhus Domsogn Hasle Aarhus opslag 415 page 479 #14, it states:

Anno: 1849
Numb: 14
Death date: 18de Marts
Burial date: 23de Marts
Name: Anne Johanne Elisab: Weis
Status: Slagter Weises Hustrue ..??..
Age: 54 Aar
Index: 138-68
Remarks: af ??

Here it refers to her as "Slagter Weises Hustrue" no reference is made to her being divorced from him.

If it refers to her dying as the wife of Wies, why does the Census one year later refer to him as divorced, unless it is a mistake OR he married and was divorced within that year?????
