Hi Marlon,

In that time period it was rare to give the wife's name in the birth of children and when she died.  She was just so and so's wife.

Sincerely,
Paul

Thanks Paul. I suspected that.

By any chance is the 4th record down from the above the burial of Ivar himself?

July 14 does look like widower Ivar Christensen, age 81 of Stoustrup.

Thanks Ralph that is what I was really looking for. That and the name of the wife which I guess I will not find.

Family search has an Ivar Christensen married in nearby Hemmet 21 November 1723.  It is apparently in the other version of the Hemmet parish register.  A marriage in a nearby parish wasn't unthinkable if both contained lands under the same manor or institution.  You might get a response here or in 'aneefterlysning'  under the heading Ivar Christensen's family, Oddum, Ringkøbing in 1700's.  Someone may be into the probates from the area around Ringkøbing, much as Eric Breyl has extracted those for the city of Ringkøbing.
