Translation help please

I started looking through the church books for Vejstrup that are posted at the Arkivalieronline.dk link that was given.  I think I have located the birth of another Viuf (Vejstrup 1831-1867 opslag 147 #5).

I believe the name to be Annethe Jorgensen Viuf birth 3 February 1862 father Jorgen Petersen Viuf. But I am having much trouble reading the mothers name and other information provided.

Is anyone able to help?

Annette Jørgensen Viuf, a daughter of lodger Jørgen Petersen Viuf and his wife Kirsten born Brecher or Bruhn (?) in Sjølund (mother's age 22 years).

The vertikal text: The mother introduced 23 March 1862.

1. Niels Ravn's wife in Sjølund
2. Bachelor Peter Damkjær in Sjølund
3. Miss Langvad in Staugenxxx (??)

What does it mean when you say the mother was introduced?

Hi Kelly,

I will try to explain:

When a woman had given birth, she was considered "unclean" and had to stay at home for five to six weeks (i.e. not go to church). Then she went to church and waited in the porch until the priest came to her. He would then hold a little speech for her - and pray a prayer, and then he would lead her into the church to her usual place.
