Othilia Henriette Kirsten Andersen AFS

My grand aunt

Birth 19 Apr 1897 in Kvislemark, Oster Flakkebjerg, Soro, Denmark

Last Known Address Diakonnessestiftelsen/Søndre Fasanvej 2A, 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark

I met her several times when she visited the US.  But I don't know where or when she died.
She was a Lutheran nun, AFS, initials after her name.  If she died near the address above, what church records might I look in for her?

Thank you to this board for such rapid help on Oluf Andersen in my previous post.

Thanks!  Jan

Hi Jan,

As per www.fogsgaard.org - click Kbh gader = Copenhagen streets and write "Søndre Fasanvej" (or "S%ndre Fasanvej") in the box and click on "Søndre Fasanvej", then you get this:

District (?): Frederiksberg
Belonging to parish in 1890: Frederiksberg
Belonging to parish in 1918: Solbjerg, Frederiksberg

Other info 1918:

The house at Søndre Fasanvej 2 is called Syster Sophies Minde and was built in 1954. It was orginally a nursing home/senior home for old sisters.

Thank you, Lissa and Eva!  Now, how would I go about finding if she lived/died there? Is there an email address?  Thanks again.  Jan

This is about the church of Diakonissestiftelsen: http://www.diakonissestiftelsen.dk/Default.aspx?ID=243

"The Deaconess church is a private church (at Frederiksberg) belonging to the Danish National Church. It is a church without parish and without public subsidies".

Under "History" you will find the history of the church in English.

About the Emmaus church: http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmauskirken

The parish: Solbjerg, Sokkelund district (herred), København county (amt).

So she kived in 1977. Then she must have got a CPR-number. If you send an e-mail to any Danish council, like the Copenhagen council, they can give you her date of death and last adress. Give them her name and date of birth and place of birth. Write your residential adress as well since they only answer by letter. They don't charge you the handling fee since you live abroad, I think.

Dear Eva, I don't know that she was alive in 1977.  She could have been.  Please, can you provide specific information on the Copehagen council so I can write them.  Much thanks for your interest in my aunt Tillie.

The link doesn't work, Eva.  It's telling me to check the spelling.

This is the adress I have on my computer. Maybe they have changed it.
A month or so ago it worked. I gave it to somebody and she told me she got the information she needed.
