Help with transcription and information please

Hi, I'm having trouble reading a name in a record. It is a confirmation record in the book Sejlstrup, Børglum, Hjørring 1877-1891 op 71, bottom of page for Søren Peder Pedersen.

The parents column:

Ugift Ane Marie Elisabeth
Sørensen af Smidstrup og
Ungkarl(?) ? Niels ? ?
Pedersen

In his birth record, this person is listed as Søren Peder Sørensen with the same mother and no father. I believe this may be his father in the confirmation record. He is also listed with this name (Søren Peder Pedersen) in the 1880 census with his mother and her husband Jens Christian Ovesen, so I don't think Pedersen is a stepfather.

I'd love to have some help with that name and whether it is likely to be the actual father.

Thank you! I was thinking Niels was part of his name, so completely on the wrong path. After looking with your information, I was able to find him in two censuses.
