Greetings to everyone...
Would some please translate the following record for me:
Fodby, Øster Flakkebjerg. Sorø....1721 - 1796...Opslag 268 #8...top of right column.

Also, from the same book I have found  three possible Baptisms for the lady in this marriage.
these old records are beyond my comprehension and I was hoping someone would look at them and see if there is some hint as to which would be the correct one.

1724...Op. 21, bottom of 2nd column.
1725...Op. 29, bottom of 2nd column.
1726...Op. 32, #8 of 2nd column.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Best Regards,
Bill Petersen

#1
1751, 8 - viede Dom. 20 a Trin.

Dom. 10 a Trin trolovet Enkemand
Rasmus Nielsen og Enke Maren
Hans Daatter, begge af Fødbye
Forlovere paa begge Side:
Esben Sørensen Peder Hansen
begge af Fødbye

Trinity 10, betrothed widower Rasmus Nielsen and widow Maren Hansdatter, both of Fodby.  Guarantors for both E. S. & P. H. of Fodby

When you find Maren Hansdatter of Bidstrup (ops 21) or of Fodby (ops 32) you will have a better idea of her father, and eventually of her mother.

Those two Marens were confirmed in 1743 (1741-1800, ops 1).  I have read the third Maren as Maren Jensdatter, missing from the confirmation list, as far as that goes.  But one of the Marens in 1743 is with a stepfather.

I omitted a phrase:

When you find Maren Hansdatter of Bidstrup (ops 21) or of Fodby (ops 32) betrothed or married,  you will have a better idea of her father, and eventually of her mother.

Hi Ralph...
Thanks once again.
Using the age on her death notice I feel I have found the correct one.
Ops 47 #1...1732...father Hans Andersen.

A widow at 19?

Do you have a first marriage that fits that scenario?  Or a different marriage to a Rasmus that does not have her a widow?

Pursuing the notion that she is a widow in the parish, you may want to look at opslag 265 #6 (1747) or opslag 262 #4 (1740).

Hi Ralph...
Thanks for your effort in this.

Assuming everything I have gathered is correct, this is what I come up with.
Rasmus Nielsen is married three times.
#1 Sidsle Pedersdatter...Married 15 Apr 1736 in Fodby...Op. 260 #4...
     she dies 16 Dec 1736...Op 202 #36.

#2 Maren Pedersdatter...Married 27 Jan 1727 In Fodby...Op. 260 #3
     She dies 6 Jan 1751...Op. #4

Maren dies ??? 1788 at age 57...Op. 242 #10 in Skaverup, Fodby...This would make her 19
when she marries and he would be in the neighborhood of 40.,,,I could find no marriage for
her in 1748 - 1751.
Could not find a death for him.
Mvh,
Bill

Hi Ralph...
Too many Rasmus Nielsens.
This one was Bap. 9 May 1734 in Fodby

I found this couple married 2 Jan 1757 Vallensved.

I had previously found an Elisabeth born in 1774...no Elisabeth in 1776.

Bill
