Could someone take a look at the remarks given in the Remarks column of the marriage entry for Søren Kristian Kristiansen and Karen Kristensen found in the register of 1878-1891 Sennels Hillerslev Thisted img 117 pg 162 very last entry and right after #4?

I am curious as to what it says in as much as in other entries for Søren I have found comments regarding he being 'Baptist' and I am wondering if this makes reference to that fact also.

What is the significance of the statement made in the Remarks section?

I am unable to make out all of the Danish in the entry.

Thank you.....

Hi

CitatI am curious as to what it says in as much as in other entries for Søren I have found comments regarding he being 'Baptist' and I am wondering if this makes reference to that fact also.

Yes that is the case.

Translation of the remarks:

Baptist's. Civil Marriage.
(Letter from the District Office//Herredskontoret in
Thisted dated 5/5 1884).

The marriage was noted in the church book. But they were not married there.

Thank you very much for the confirmation.

I found it interesting that for the first 2 to 3 children they were baptized in the church and it was so noted in the records as either at home or in the church.

Then it stopped and notes appeared that the father was a Baptist. I assumed at that point he and possibly his family changed religion denominations.

Again, thanks for the help...
