8. Karl Hansen Juul - Born: 21 Jan. 1877 - I have not found when he left

From the probate after their Father 18/5-1900 I know that all 8 children is living in America.

Can some helt me to finde more information?

Lis, just so you don't think you are being ignored, I've searched U. S. census and other records extensively, using correct and alternate spellings, but can not positively identify even one of them.  In fact, I can only identify Jens b. 1866 in passenger lists:  He arrived New York from Hamburg 21 April 1884 on ship Polynesia.  I even compared their emigration and birth dates with those listed for Danes in the 1900 U. S. censuses, but no similar names found.

It's probable that Kirsten, Karen, and Anna married before 1900 and thus are listed with a different surname, and the men may have dropped Juul and used Hansen, and thus become "lost" among the thousands of Hansen/Hanson's in U.S.

Karl born 1877 should have registered for the draft if in U.S. 1917-18, but no similar name with that birthdate is listed.

Perhaps they all moved on to Canada, or maybe they went to South America?

Thanks for trying - I am glad I not have been Ignored. Yoy always are so helpful.
Unfortunately the probate don't tell where - it just says America - and its a huge country - so they can be all over - South-east-north or west.

I tried too, Lis, and I'm sure others did as well. We can find Juuls (and Juels, Juhls, Jewells, etc.) and also many Hansens, born in Denmark. But none have the right birth year (or close) combined with the right year of immigration (or close) in U.S. records. This is why Homer thinks maybe they are in another country, not the U.S.A. Maybe. Hard to know why we can't find ANY of them!

However the probate after Their morther in 1903 syas that Christine is married (g.M = Married) to Peter Petersen - so could it be that it is the wrong person. In the probate after the sister Anna it says Cahristine died 1912.

He may have changed his name, or he could have been Peter Morris or Morris Peter.

You ask if the had an Older Brother – and the could have – his name was Jens Peder, he was halfbrother – born and died 1852.
The persons mentioned in the same answer is not same family.

I think their brother Jens can be dead before 1903 - while he not is mentioned in the probate after their mother. There only are mentioned 5 children and the were 8 is says in the record after Their father i 1900 - Unfortunately the haven't written the names there. - but we know Anna went home again.
