Seeking online source for Second Schleswig War military records

My 2nd Great Grandfather is Niels Christian Pedersen born 28 Jan 1837 Naesgard, Them, Vrads, Skanderborg. He was a soldier in the 2nd Schleswig War. I am looking for his military records.  Here in the USA, there are military records available at the Family Search library in Salt Lake, UT. However, none of these records are online. I would have to travel in person to the Salt Lake library, which is not feasible for me.
Is there another source for these records? Preferably an online source, if possible.

A list of applicants for commemorative medals is online, but it seems as if the button for ENGLISH is missing. The second series comprises applications from America:

Re the application 1876:
I wonder if the period he was doing service should rather be from November 1863 to August 1864?

There may be other military records, e.g. Stambøger.

This is incredible! You both have helped me honor my relative.
Sometimes it's easy to forget what you are all doing here with this forum. For some reason, with you finding these records, Inger, it hit home a little harder.
Maybe this genealogy thing, we get to try our own little bit to honor the sacrifices our loved ones made so we could be here. We get to make connections that change our own lives, and we maybe find a bit of ourselves in the process.
You both have helped a guy do that, tonight. It's huge to think what you all do here.
