Need help reading birth record

Hello,

I have a birth record for Niels Nielsen born 11 Dec 1841 in Humble, Svendborg, Denmark.  He is illegitimate and the mother appears to be Karen Nielsdatter.  The father is reported to be Christian? Niels Nielsen? in ??  Rytt?  Ritd? something?  I cannot make out the place name at the end of the record or his name.  Can anyone read it?

Niels was born in 1841, wasn't he?  The father's location looks to me to be Ristinge, a location within Humble parish.

Oh, my mistake.  Yes, 1841.  Does the father's name look like Kristian Niels Nielsen to you?

PS. The location may well be Kiedebye rather than Ristinge - the letters y and g both go below the line

I do know that Niels Nielsen married Hanne Margrethe Hansdatter (born in Fodslette) sometime around 1863 but I could not find a marriage in Fodslette, Humble or Tryggelev.  Apparently, at some point, Niels Nielsen and his family moved to the United States but I have forgotten how to search the Travel Contracts register or even where the link is.

I have found no trace of his mother, Karen Nielsdatter, after the 1845 Census.  I am still looking for further information about his father.

Thanks Inger.  In looking closer at the birth record I see that Karen Nielsdatter was living at Johan Madsen's farm.

Seems that Niels in Ristinge actually has Nissen as his surname rather than Nielsen.

The father Niels Nielsen is more likely to be the 'tjenestekarl' ( servant ) shown in 1845 in the attachment below.

Thanks so much Inger.  I think that must be his step-mother.  I found a birth record 3 Dec 1824 that I think must be him.  Father is Anders Rasmussen and the mother is Anna Hansdatter.

Yes, that's correct. He died at the interim hospital (Lazarettet) in Assens.
