I have been trying to find a church death/funeral record for Maren Kirstine Christiansen.
She was born 14 Dec 1855 in Lille Lyngby parish, Frederiksborg Amt.
On 04 Apr 1888 she married widower Niels Hansen in Frederiksborg Slot parish.
Niels Hansen died 12 Jul 1916 at Amtmandsmugen?, Frederiksborg Slot parish.
All of the census records show her living in the Frederiksborg Slot parish from her marriage through 1940.
Dodsregister.dk lists her as dying 26 Okt 1946 in the Frederiksborg area.
https://dodsregister.dk/Infopage.aspx?id=eTcLZtm6bTWBBrMv1IcbJg==

I've looked at parish records in the most likely parishes with no luck.
She may have died in a hospital, but I haven't found any records.

Any ideas or help is welcome,
Art

You don't have to search all parishes in Frederiksborg county. The medical 'lægekreds' comprises just the parish entities shown here: http://www.salldata.dk/laege/index.php?kreds=Frederiksborg

Hey, you couldn't have looked into Frederiksborg Slot parish, since the deaths of females over the period 1941-47 have not yet been scanned. The churchbooks may be ordered for inspection through Daisy, see attachment.

Then what are these pages at www.danishfamilysearch.dk?
https://www.danishfamilysearch.dk/sogn261/churchbook/source155515/page19

I did notice that AO does not have those pages.

Edit: Even though they are listed as Slot sogn, they appear to be Hillerød sogn.

Well I soon run into Danish only web pages and it looks like there are costs for that approach.
I will use the dodsregister.dk record as my source reference.

It looks indeed as if Danish Family Search have used the same churchbook - containing 397 pages - for Hillerød parish as well as for Frederiksborg Slot. I very seldom use their data, so cannot elaborate on whether that reflects some sort of pattern. But I'd say that chances are that Maren Kirstine is in fact found in the churchbook held only at Rigsarkivet. Maybe it's possible for you to gain access on your next trip to Copenhagen?

If in doubt, always take a look at one of the first pages in the churchbook:

- Kontraministerialbog for Hillerød Købstad

The same churchbook is here under Hillerød sogn:

My primary source for Danish genealogy is Ancestry.com then Arkivalieronline, sometimes Danishfamilysearch.dk and occasionally Familysearch.org.

For this search, I noticed that AO lacked that date range and saw that Danishfamilysearch.dk "appeared" to have them.

It is unlikely I will be visiting Denmark again.

Inger, that is exactly what I ended up doing!

Beware that there are cases where FamilySearch has joined separate photo-copied churchbooks into one long series of pages, such that the parish name changes along the way. Say you are looking at FS page 385. The name of the parish on the first page of the component churchbook may be found on FS page 174 and be different to the one on page 1 of the entire series.
