This is a Norwegian marriage ledger.

For the third entry down on the right hand, the marriage of Svend Frederich Bohm and Anne Kirstine Hansen in Larvik, Norway, the places of birth are transcribed as Fusten and Holdrum Sogn, respectively.  Are these correct?  I can't find them online.

Previous information had him born in Denmark and her in Norway.

The marriage record names him Svend Frederich Bohme with the 2 dots above o.
right in translation: Divorced from his former wife, and with Royal permission married to this miss Hansen.

I couldn't navigate the link you posted.

Is the divorce what's written in the last column on the record I posted?

Does it name his first wife?  Was she Norwegian?

You may have solved a puzzle.  I'm believe I'm descended from Svend's first wife, as my ancestor is Svend's son Frederich who was born in 1815.  I assumed it was an illegitimate birth with Anne Hansen but maybe it was a legitimate birth with his first (unnamed wife).

I believe Svend moved to Norway (on royal order) in 1810.

Ole Westermann

Yes, the divorce mentioned in th last column. No name of his former wife.

Do you know, where Frederich was born 1815?

Jack Frost

This is what I have:

Frederich Bøhm b. 31 okt 1815 in Larvik, Vestfold, Norway
father = Svend Bohm

Jack Frost

This is from a family letter written by Johan Bohm c.1900, the son of Frederich Bohm, referring to his grandmother - the wife of Svend Bohm:

"My grandmother was a devout woman. She was born on the farm Bridge Hedrum by Bommestad bridge and was the daughter of the sheriff in Hedrum."

I believe this is the second wife of Svend Bohm - Anna Kristina Hansdatter (Hansen) - residing with her family in Hedrum in the 1801 Norwegian Census - right-hand side, family #2.  She is 13 years old.  Her father is Hans Isachsen or Isaihasen, age 58.  Does it indicate if he was the sheriff?

If Frederic Bohm was born in 1815 then either he was born in wedlock to Svend Bohm's unnamed first wife or he was born out of wedlock to Svend Bohm's second wife, Anna Hansen, some 5 years before she married Svend.  The latter would have been a good reason for a divorce in the first marriage.

Svend was a royal gardener in Denmark and was sent to Larvik, Norway by Danish royalty to design gardens, so maybe he had favored status and allowed latitude in his personal life.

You could try to ask for help in Norway here https://forum.slaegt.dk/index.php/topic,515.1830.html
about Svend Frederichs first marriage and find the baptism of his son Frederich in 1815.
Litta Olsen is a friendly helper in Norway.  - Go to the bottom of page 62.

Thanks.  I'll give it a try.
