Hello, who can help me with a lot of information? It would be the Cobbermolle north of Flensburg, formerly Denmark.
I would like to know everything about the Thor Straten family, they were owners of the copper mill for five generations.
--Josias Thor Straten 1738-1802
--- his children and the story of the cobbermolle and the lawsuit of 1838 bankrupt
Is there somewhere a page with good information. Not the website of the factory, but about this family in good and bad times.
thanks

The slægtsbiblioteket has a scan from Kristiania/Oslo, Norway about a thor Straten

and I found a book about Kobbermøllen
Jens-Peter Hansen, Kobbermøllen ved
Krusaa, Udgivet af Foreningen til
Gamle Bygningers Bevaring, 1994. 96
s., kr. 128.

At least 6 members of the thor Straten family are mentioned in Knud Gether's book on "Middle Age families...". Josias on page 648.
A scanned and searchable version of the book can be viewed via this link: https://slaegtsbibliotek.dk/900400.pdf
At the moment unfortunately the scanning is faulty - I have reported the error and hope it will be fixed soon.

Also Bonde and Hvidtfeldt: "Mayors ...in Flensburg 1550-1848" contains several members of the family. Josias is mentioned on page 27.

The books are in Danish, but Google Translate may help you to get an overview. Eventually revert back with questions about the translation.
