Hello All,

I realise Denmark has/had conscription of males but has this changed to include females?  I saw a poll in 2011 that did not seem to change anything.  Does male conscription still exist?  Are females now conscripted?  For how long?

I also would like to know if they are paid while in service and, if so, how long are they expected to serve and how much are they paid?

No, it has not, but females can enter the military, if they want to - and many do !!
You can take a look here - in Danish

The Danish constitution talks about men only (section 81) to be drafted.
And as our constitution is rarely amended, last time was in 1953, I would expect it will not be changed anytime soon.

But as Ole writes other wise there are no limits for women in the military.

And this year Denmark had its first female general !

Thank you for all of the information.
