I read your post by chance.
Carpentier Jean François was indeed born in Paris in 1700. I looked in the reconstituted civil status file but I did not find it. Destroyed during the fires of the Commune in May 1871, the Parisian civil status prior to 1860 has been reconstructed, only in part. Of the 8 million records lost, only a third have been restored. However here is what I found in Personalhistorisk tidsskrift - 5. Rk. 2. Bd. (1905)
