I'm revisiting a question that was last posted November 2007 on the old forum.

Hans Christiansen Gutfeldt lived most of his life in Slimmenge, Gorslev sogn, Praesto Amt.  I am descended from his last son Jørgen Hansen born 13 Feb 1808.  I am fairly certain that his baptismal record is at (upper right):
https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn925/churchbook/source139719/opslag15376277
I'd love a transcription/translation.

Jørgen Hansen was born when his father was about 60 years old and his father died in late 1822.

Looking at confirmation records for Gorslev sogn,  there are records for his 3 youngest sons, Povel, Hans and Jørgen.
Povel (#15): https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn925/churchbook/source139954/opslag15420937
Hans (#12): https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn925/churchbook/source139954/opslag15420941
Jørgen (#9): https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn925/churchbook/source139954/opslag15420943

For Povel it lists his father, but for Hans and Jørgen it lists a Lars Lydersen in a different town.  Was this their godfather or someone they were living with as the father may have been ill?

Thanks for any input,
Art

Many thanks Ole!

I usually use AO, and sometimes FamilySearch.com, but I remember someone here preferring DFS because they thought the images were clearer.  I think I'll just go back to AO as I am more used to their interface.

Thanks for the transcription/translation and that they were serving in the household of Lars Lydersen.  I did note that Lars Lydersen was listed among the witnesses in several baptisms, so they must have been on good terms.

I also often use FamilySearch.com with its good picture quality - and in many cases better than AO.
And they often have files online, which are not available yet on AO.

On a related note, can someone tell me what the church date is for the baptism of Povel Hansen b. 8 Feb 1802 (upper right)?

And is the church date for the baptism of Hans Hansen b. 17 Feb 1805 also 2nd Paaskedag (lower right)?

Poul - Samme dag (same day) i.e. 2den Paaskedag (Easter Monday) (April 19 in 1802)
- and it's the same for Hans (but in 1805 on April 15)
