I have located the Marriage entry for Ole Hansen and Karen Hansdatter. It is 1790-1813 Søften, Vester Lisbjerg, Aarhus Ny udgave img 28 pg 27a-last entry on page and top of next page
https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn212/churchbook/source144640/opslag16252303

My attempt at a transcription is as follows:

Year: 1793
Numb: last entry on page and top of next page

For Ole Hansen, ung Karl og
Pigen Karen Hansdatter bege {sic- begge=both} Zøf=
ten Sogn .... ...havde
undertegnede ... .... ...  {til fuld ...?}
indstaar at Intet er i vegen [vejen] imod
sam deres Ægteskab Lov ....
kand forhindre eller forbyde
fra Hallem Niels Nielsen
fra Haar Niels Jørgensen

d: 11te ?? bleve forenævnte Ole Han=
sen og Karen Hansdatter trolovet
[margin] Trol[ovelse]

To gain an understanding of the entry I really need help with my transcription attempt. If someone might be so kind as to correct/add to my attempt I would greatly appreciate it.

From here I am trying to locate her parents.

Thank you for your assistance.

hi Lynn,

I'll give my best shot, but there're still a few corrections to be made. Here's my attempt:

For [Forlover] Ole Hansen, ung Karl og
Pigen Karen Hansdatter bege [begge] Zeu-
then [Søften] Sogn tilhørende ?
undertegnede til fuldkommen
unstaar at Intet er ? nogen ? en ?
som deres Ægteskab Lovligen
kand forhindre eller forbyde
fra Hal[d]um Niels Kieldseß
fra Haar Niels Jørgensen

d. 11te Oct. [oktober] bleve fornævnte Ole Han-
sen og Karen Hansdatter troelovede

Troel [Trolovelse]

Both Haldum and Haar are north of the nearby town Hinnerup:
https://kort.degulesider.dk/s/haldum
https://kort.degulesider.dk/s/haar

The equal signs should just be read as hyphens and the colon should be read as a dot. When there's a line above a letter it means that it should be read as double, which is seen in fuldkomen = fuldkommen. It was just the way of writing in those old texts.

I searched Karen Hansdatter and found a possible match on this page here (maybe you have her year of birth to compare with):

Thank you everyone...Thank you Lennarth.. she is the correct Karen Hansdatter in the Probate Record.

So, along with her, you provided me with her entire family. In looking at the records I found the Probate for her mother and it listed the spouses of her married sisters.

I need to learn how to use the Probate Records. Do you know of any documentation that one can learn from?

How do I interpret the 30 Marts 1784? Is that his Death date or the date when his estate was Probated?
CitatG 341-380 23/29
667, 765, 30 marts 1784, Haar

With the mother there are two dates:
CitatG 341-381 A 2/16
685, 7, 14. november 1788, Haar
9, 5 december 1789
Maren Sørensdatter, død
enke efter Hans Thomassen i Haar

14 November 1788 and 5 December 1789.. What do they mean?

Again thank you....

hi again Lynn,

you're welcome. Sounds good that it was the right one. You can find some introduction in Danish on the homepage here:
https://www.sa.dk/da/hjaelp-og-vejledning/rigsarkivets-online-vejledninger/skiftearkivalier-kom-godt-gang/

and here you can find a lot of words, which can occur in the probate records:
https://www.sa.dk/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Ord-fra-skifteprotokoller.pdf

The dates will most likely be where some people met and registered the valuables, but you can see that for certain, if you find the document. I haven't got much experience with looking up those records, but the entry page is this one here:
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/geo/geo-collection/18

I filtered on Århus Amt and tried with a few different ones it could be like Sabro-Vester Lisbjerg Herreders Provsti, but I didn't find the record.

Maybe others more experienced can find the record? And also transcribe more words in the initial marriage entry for Ole Hansen and Karen Hansdatter?
