Street question

In the burial record for Jenny Hjardemål Berggreen in Frederiksberg, it states she died at Hostrups Alle 12.

The funeral was at Sankt Thomas Kirke in Frederiksberg, and there are Hostrupsvej and Hostrups Havn nearby.  There is a Hostrups Alle in Esbjerg, but that is way over on the western coast of Jutland.  I looked at a 1900 map of Frederiksberg but did not find a street named Hostrups Alle.

Any thoughts?

hi Art,

many street names have changed their names over time. One of them was Hostrups Allé, which changed to Doktor Abildgaards Allé in 1910. You can see changed street names in Copenhagen towards 1931 here:

Jørgen, Jenny Hjardemål was baptised in Heltborg parish, Thisted Amt.  Her father Martin Hjardemål had that surname, so his family may have originated in that village.  Martin as baptized in Vestervig, not far from Heltborg.
