I've been looking at the church record for Catharina Elisabeth Rheders in 1774 in the Mou Sogn, Aalborg.

I assume that the date of July 10 in the first column is her in church christening.
Is the 27 May date in the 4th column her actual birth?  What is meant by the date in the last column which was the following Sunday?

Thanks again for any help,
Art

Question: I assume that the date of July 10 in the first column is her in church christening.
Answer: Correct.

Question: Is the 27 May date in the 4th column her actual birth?
Answer: Yes. She was christened at home – probably the day she was born or a few days later.

Question: What is meant by the date in the last column which was the following Sunday?
Answer: It is the date of the mother's first day in church after the birth. It is called the introduction.

Thanks Inge,

I am still learning how to read these old records.  Things are easier after they were standardized in the early 1800s.
