Help Researching the Names: Frederik Carl Petersen & Christine Nielsen.

Hello Fellow Researchers,

I reside in America and would like to ask for your help finding any information (birth records, death records..) with respect to my ancestors in Denmark.  I have been trying to research this on my own for years before being introduced to this group, I am excited to finally get the help I need as I am at a stand still trying to trace back my Danish lineage in Denmark.  What I know is this:

My great grandfather was "Charles Peter Adolph Petersen" (also seen as Charles Delamotte/De La Motta once he arrived in Australia ~1870) I am not sure why he added the Delamotte after his name? I only see it in records in Australia)  Charles was born in Ordrup, Denmark on Oct 9th, 1851.  His parents were Frederik Carl Petersen (born ~1820) & Christine Nielsen (born ~1830).  On Charles' death certificat in Australia (see attached) his mother's name is referenced as Cecilia Edwards, though I am aware not to pay too much attention to the validity of information provided on death certificates.  To date I have searched the DDD and found the family listed here, this is it -

This is all the information I have gained, past this I cannot locate birth/death dates for his parents or siblings.  Charles married in Australia and had a lengthy career as a school teacher/headmaster and inspector in Agriculture there, many wonderful articles can be read of his work in Trove, a Australian historical digital newspaper website.

On this site I have seen him reference that his father, Frederik Carl Petersen, as "Right Hon. Baron F. C. De La Motta, C.D.D.M., R.N. Commander & Postmaster General, Copenhagen,  Denmark. Dated June 1877.
