I have most of the facts for my 4th great grandfather Ole Christensen, except his birth entry.

Based on his Death entry, located at Hundborg-Jannerup Parish referenced: 1715-1786 Jannerup Hundborg Thisted img 408 pg 220-1763-#3
http://www.danishfamilysearch.com/sogn1719/churchbook/source76983/opslag8545381

his death occurred around 8 July 1763, it states he was 49 years old, 4 months, and 7 days old. Calculating an approximate birth date from that, his birth would occurred around the 1st of March 1718.

He married Maren Jensdatter on the 28th of Sep 1758, also in Hundborg-Jannerup.  Engagement and Marriage: 1715-1786 Hundborg-Jannerup Hundborg Thisted img 252 pg 125 1758-#2

I have search the Parish Registers in both Hundborg and Jannerup and find no entry for his Birth.

Any suggestions as to where I might turn to seek for it?

Thank you

I can't get the link to the death record to work.

My math, assuming your numbers are correct:

1763  6  8
-  49  4  7
-------------
1714  2  1  = 1 March 1714, which is before Hundborg-Jannerup church records start.

The fact that the age at death is so detailed, i.e. not just 49 years, suggests the pastor knew when Ole Christensen was born, perhaps from having the now-missing church books.  So Hundborg-Jannerup is a good assumption for the place.

You may be able to confirm his birth place in other sources.  Fæsteprotokoller for example, sometimes give the birth place of the tenant farmer, and sometimes court records tell where someone was born.  Those are not always indexed, so a good project for a rainy day.   cool)

He was not baptized there 1715-1725, so you could search surrounding parishes - if possible.
At his marriage is told, that he was serving at Ulstrup, but he may have come from many places.

Here is his burial https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-8944-FZ58?i=205&wc=M5KX-GPP%3A357516601%2C358126201%2C358172601%2C358180901%3Fcc%3D2078555&cc=2078555 left

Thanks for the link to the death record, it works, and it was 45 years.

I did intend to write 6 and 8 for July 8 to represent 6 whole months plus 8 days.  Similarly, the answer 2 months and 1 day gives the date March 1.

No problem, I went back and rechecked the information. Does not hurt to check and double check.

Thank you for your response.
