Hello,

in the document linked above, Peter Petersen is referenced as father of the bride with "vulgo Kupferschmidt". I know that vulgo means "commonly called", but why is this information presented in this document? Could it be that it is to show that is related to the Cypraeus=Kupferschmidt family of priests in Tonder? There are some links his Kupferschmidt ancestors to the Reimer/Reymer/Reimarus family.

Thank you very much for your help!

best regards
Marten

Kupfer is german and means Copper så it might be Coppersmith

The fathers name is Hans Petersen also called Kupferschmidt - why he was called so, is dificult to say. I do not see any priest in Tønder with that name.
