Notation help

Can someone tell me what the notation in the second column (baptism date) means?  It does not look like the abbreviation for a month to me.

It is latin, it means the same. Baptism 29 Oct.

I figured that it was likely something like that.  I had one year of Latin about 55 years ago, and have forgotten essentially all of that.
