Hello,

I'm searching for Cord Jacob Kammann (+ 1775 in Flensburg) - respectively his family.

He probably was a Grenadier, about 1725-1737 in Copenhagen?? mentioned in the book "Bürgerbuch Flensburg" from Rendsburg.
Married with Brigitte Jensen???
A son, Jens Martin Kammann - was Teacher in Oxbüll (+ 1788 Munkbrarup), born in Denmark?
At my search, I found also a son, Kordt David, at Citadel Frederikshavn Garnisons-church, but no other child.

In an older post: https://www.dis-danmark.dk/forum/read.php?1,926,926
this theme was discussed before, with the same knowledge but without an reference point.

Thank you

Niels Just Rasmussen

In the Copenhagen census 1728 (after the great fire) and tax census of 1743 the only Kamman/Kammand listed is

Morten Kamman(d), blikkenslager (plumber).

So probably both in Copenhagen and Elsinore during his military service.

The earliest surviving military personnel lists from 4th Bataillon (and thus the earlier Fyenske geworbne Regiment) are from 1758, so sadly not information survives from his time.

Jens Martin Kammann is baptised in (27 ?) January 1724 in Garnisons Sogn, Copenhagen.

According to the thread from 2001-2006, he died 13 Feb. 1775 in Flensburg.

It's possible that there's info about his wife and children in the death record, which can be found here:

Thanks for your comments.

A lot of new informations, that I will work through  :D

@ Inger Toudal
Thanks, but In Archion I already had searched. The Entry from 1775 is in the St. Nikolai Churchbook, Flensburg - but unfortunately very short: "In the Hospital died Kord Jakob Kammann, 75 Years [old]"

And from Munkbrarup, is the marriage entry 1750; also very short, the parents were not mentioned.
In the burial entry from 1788 for Jens Martin Kammann is his Mother mentioned thus: "His mother Brigitta [surname unknown] died before 1788"
Jens Martin had 8 Children and further descendants.
