Hello,

My 3rd great-grandfather, Peder Jensen Falster, stayed on the military levying rolls from his birth in 1796 to 1841?.

There seems to be something that happened in 1823 but I cannot decipher what the records say.  Is someone able to translate this for me?

It looks like he is removed from the rolls in 1842 but I did not see him on that list.

I think it says I/J S. I/J C. 2. Batl. gms in the 1823 lægdsrulle.

Probably meaning "I S[jællandske] J[æger] C[orps] 2. Bataljon.
G.M.S. = Gammel Mands Søn [= Old mans son]

Thank you so much Niels.  I had forgotten about this question.
