Yesterday I went to Family Search .org and did a search for my great-great grandfather Claus Friederich Reimers born 1809, something I have done many times. A census report from 1835 came up. It has an event place as Hytten, Albæk, Dronninglund, Hjørring, Denmark. I went to the Danish archive site I always go to for census reports but it did not come up. I am interested in finding more information about this report because there is a Hans Reimers born 1773 living in the household who I suspect may be my greart-great-great grandfather who I would like to know more about. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Marlon

Could you provide us with a link to the actual report on FS?

As seen before, FamilySearch has got the location wrong.

We are in Hütten Amt, Hohn Sogn (parish), Germany.

A long way from Hjørring, Dronninglund.

I don't know if this will help. These two are associated with the page I referred to.

Hi Inge, What you say is more in line with information I have seen in the past. I don't suppose records from that area are available online. Thanks for your response,

This I think is an image of the census page if my computer skills have not abandoned me. I hope this helps.

In the Danish Kingdom there was a census in 1834, none in 1835, but in 1835 there was a census in the duchies Slesvig and Holsten. (The Danish king was also the duke of Slesvig, Holsten and Lauenburg).

But it's the wrong Hütten - the Reimers live in Hütten in Hohn parish:

At https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/rif/rif-collection/7
Folketælling 1835, Slesvig (1835 - 1835)
Sogn - Hohn - Rendsburg Hohn Hohn - and at ops.19
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=187572#187572,31779975
you see the Reimers
Claus Reimers - Besitzt eine Viertel-hofe (owns a ¼-farm)
Hans       -       - Nährt sich vom Tagelohn (lives from daylabouring)

Sorry: I jumped to the parish Hütten - you looked for parish Hohn in Amt Hütten.
The DIS-Wiki page of Hohn ist here:

Hi Ole,
I just saw your last message. I am having difficulty with my computer and can not do many things. I think I will have to call a repair person. Anyway I am not sure what you have sent me but I know ops 19 is a census report. I am wondering if the Hans Reimers in the family of Claus could be his father. The age is right. Also at the top of the page is a Jurgen Kuhl, could that be Claus' father in law?

Hi Marlon

No doubt that Hans Reimers is the father of Claus Reimers, as Claus & Anna Kühl's oldest son is named Hans.
Their second son Hinrich is probably named after Anna's father - i.e. Hinrich Kühl.

The person at the top of the page is Jürgen Kuhr, and he is only 15 years older than Anna, so that's not her father.
I wish your PC a good recovery!
