It says that Johannes Larsen buy the house 10th of april 1890
When he dies i 1929 the wife takes over house.

21th of january 1931 the house is sold to one of the sons Lauritz Anker Larsen

Hi Henrik.  Where did you find that information?  I looked at the online probate search and the records do not seem to go to 1929?

How much do you know about Olaf Andersen and Arvid Andersen?

It seems to be an interresting family story.

And it will probably be possible to trace some current descendants in Denmark (actually i have found some, but i cant mention any names here)

I know very little about them as I just started researching my great-uncle Olaf Andersen.  Apparently Holger Olaf Andersen, my uncle, wrote a book called, "The National Schools."  Arvid Andersen, his only child, was a Danish violinist, conductor, composer and poet who married a Margit Eleonora Christine von Reib but I have no information for her.except that she might have been born in 1915 and might have died in 2013 which seems incredible  They had 3 daughters together, that I am aware of, who may or may not be alive so I cannot post information about them on here.

I am very interested in Arvid because, like me, he was a violinist, composer and poet.  I am also an author like Olaf and played numerous instruments growing up.  Musicians and writers are very prevalent in my paternal line (Danish).

Any information is greatly appreciated.  Are you able to email me privately with the information you have found about current family members of mine?  If so: rebecca_l_johnson@hotmail.com (Danish is fine as I have conversed back and forth with people in the past using 2 different languages)

Hi Inger.  Thank you so much for those links.  That saved me a lot of time searching.

It always makes me sad when I come across records like that as well.  It is especially heartbreaking to see just how many women died in childbirth back then simply because they did not have the medical advancements that we enjoy today.

Thank you Inger!  You are amazing!  It would have taken me forever to find those documents as I have never dealt with Aabenraa county before so it would not have been my first place to look and it would have taken me some time to figure out the surname change unless it was noted somewhere on a birth or marriage record as it sometimes is.

Hi Inger.  I am just getting the Census and all of the new children added to my tree and I am having trouble with finding the son, Walther Wilhelm Bøge von Reib born 18 Mar 1920.  According to the Census document he was born in Vyle.  I took this to mean Vile, Viborg but he is not there.  I checked Rise, Åbenrå and Helsingør Domkirkes, Frederiksborg, Denmark from 1918-1921 and do not find him.  I suppose there is a chance that this is Vejle?  But no parish is listed and the Vejle, Vejle parish records end in 1905.

He was born in Vejle Sankt Nicolai Sogn (from 1907 there were 2 parishes in Vejle: Sankt Nicolai and Vor Frelsers).

Thank you Inger.  I have not been able to navigate that page very well as I do not quite understand what it is other than death notices but I do not know if it takes into account every single death record or just certain ones.  Also, if you do not know the date of death of the ancestor I am not sure how you would find them on that site.

Thank you Inger.  I remember reading about those children but I had that information connected to another person for some reason. 

I have found Esther Elise Larsen born 27 May 1927 in Junction City, Lane, Oregon, United States and that she married Thomas Jefferson Showers in the United States where she died 23 May 2005 in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, United States and he died in 1996.

I discovered they had a daughter born 14 Jun 1928 in Junction City, Lane, Oregon, United States but I am not sure if she is still alive so I will not post her name.

Their son is Sven Åge Larsen was born 12 Jul 1929 in Junction City, Lane, Oregon, United States and died in 2002 in Montana, United States.

I will have to hope for a little luck in finding the name of the last daughter who was probably born in School District 49, Sheridan, Montana, United States around 1931.

I found the confirmations of their son Sven Åge and the youngest daughter Nora Marie Larsen born 1 Feb 1932 in Dagmar, Sheridan, Montana, United States and died in the United States in 2004.  Their confirmations were both in Als, Hindsted, Ålborg, Denmark.

Only death notices announced in Statstidende from mid 1998 onwards. Does not cover all deaths in Denmark in that period,
and you can only search for persons who have been dead 10 years or more.

You choose year of birth in the menu to the left. When you are at the page of the year in question, you can search by pressing
CTRL + f simultaneously and write e.g. 1920-03-18, or (part of) the name of the person in question in the search field.
