Looking for a birth record Stadil sogn

My wife's 6th great grandfather was Laurids Pedersen Hvolgaard. I am trying to find his birth record. The information I found is that he was born 3 Dec 1707 in Stadil sogn probably in Fuglbjerg, baptized 6 Dec and his parents were Peder Lauridsen and Maren Pedersdatter. I have looked and cannot find an entry in Stadil sogn for his birth. I am hoping someone who is more familiar with the old records might be able to help me.

Lists his age at death as 62 aar. I did check to see if he was born 1713 (1775 -62) but did not find a birth record.

Hi Paul

The betrothal/marriage in 1738 says, that Laurids Hvolgaards father, Niels Hvolgaard, was his best man -
i.e. this Laurids Hvolgaard's name is Laurids NIELSEN Hvolgaard.

So if this is 'your' Laurids Hvolgaard, then you must look for another man and another father.

The man you found dead in 1775 is called Peder Hvolgaard, not Laurids Hvolgaard.

I had gotten the impression that Laurids Pedersen Hvolgaard also used the name Peder Hvolgaard as well as Laurids Pedersen. Of course if the death record said he was 62aar and his birtyh was in 1707 than the death record in 1775 could not have been for Laurids Pedersen Hvolgaard.

I saw the record for Laue Pedersen but my ability to read the old written Danish is limited and I did not think it was him
Sometimes it is useful to have someone else  look at records and point out problems.  So, again, thanks for the help and information.  Paul
