Hello! Hej!
Here is some background: My great-great-grandfather, Hans Christiansen came to America with his brother Carl around 1902. They left their family in Denmark (siblings Alfred, Jens Peter, and Anna Kristine). In 1975, Hans's sister Anna Kristine (never married) died, and her niece Dagny reached out to my great-grandmother (Hans's daughter) Inez who lived in Maine, USA. She first wanted to discuss inheritance since Inez and her brother Howard were entitled to some of it, but they became pen-pals soon after.
We recently uncovered the letters that Dagny had written to Inez, as well as some photographs. I doubt that Dagny is still alive, but I've seen no death record so I won't say any personal details of her. I would like to find some people from Dagny's family and show them the letters that she had written (and I'm also curious if anyone has the letters that Inez wrote to her). I would like to know more about my family from Denmark  :)
I transcribed the letters in a Google Doc which has more information (addresses and last names have been removed since I'm not sure who is still living). Letters can be found here if anyone is interested: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rks3Dbt_ombmDzi5QdQK7ItjFHXOJxQV2iVL3GXGD3w/edit?usp=sharing

Thank you for your time. I welcome any emails if anyone has more information that they would like to share.

Some extra information (can't find the edit button :( )
Hans was born in 1884 in Aarhus, and died in 1938 in Portland, Maine. I'm not sure about his siblings (other than Kristine thanks to the letters), but this is the general time period for when these relatives were alive.
I have so far checked Ancestry, and Googled some of the names that I do know, but I haven't been able to find any records that seem relevant to me. Unfortunately the names seem to be fairly common so it is hard to find some of Dagny's children on social media. I haven't seen any obituaries or other records for the Danish relatives from Googling names, and I'm not really sure where to look next!

Thank you,
-Rachel

Dagny mentions the bought surname Hvidsø and the town Herlev, there is still a Hvidsø living in Herlev.

If you can reveal the surnames and addresses it should be possible to track down some relatives. You can send me a private message with your email.

In one of her letters Dagny mentions that she gave birth to a son who died 3 weeks later and was buried at the family grave in Store Taastrup.

John, you are amazing! I had thought Dagny passed away shortly after the last letter, but she was still alive in 1980.  ;D
Is there any way I can thank you?
