Hello,

I am trying to locate the death record of an ancestor who lived, according to the 1930 Denmark Census, at Borups Alle #148 in the Frederiksberg Kommune within (I think) the city of Copenhagen/Kobenhavn.

I have been looking through the burial records posted in the Anna Sogn for Kobenhaven Staden, but I'm not sure if I'm in the right parish. All the numbers for Borups Alle look too low to me, so I think I need to shift my research into a neighboring parish, but which one is the right one for Borups Alle #148?

The ancestor I am looking for is Anna Oline Hviid (her father was Rasmus Pedersen (Hviid), so her birth name would have been Anna Oline Rasmussen from Stokkemarke Sogn, Maribo Amt). Here she is---link below---in the 1930 Denmark Census so anyone who can help me can take a look at where she is living at that point.

Can anyone please point me to the correct parish for Borups Alle #148 within Kobenhavn Staden? Or am I in completely in the wrong place?

Thank you.

Dear Eva M,

Thank you very much for your helpful advice. It was a success! I found her. And, with your information, I was able to also find her in the 1940 Denmark Census on the website "My Danish Roots". Thank you so much for all your help. It is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Frederiksberg Kommune (municipality) is an enclave municipality inside the Copenhagen municipality.
Borups Allé # 103-143 and 102-156 are in Frederiksberg municipality, the rest in Copenhagen municipality.

Borups Allé # 103-143 and 102-156 was until 1897 in Frederiksberg parish
1898-1904 in Sankt Thomas parish and from
1905 in Mariendals parish.

Dear Helmer Christiansen,

Thank you for your advice. That was my next question. That helps explain why I had a hard time finding the correct parish. I had a list of parish names to choose from from this website

https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/herred56/gader/gader1650

I knew that the Frederiksberg Kommune was within the city of Copenhagen, so I looked up the parishes within Kobenhavn Staden and went through all the lists of available parishes from the previous website until I found a parish that covered Borups Alle on this website

https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Anna_Parish_K%C3%B8benhavn,_K%C3%B8benhavn,_Denmark

But I found out by looking through the records in the Anna parish, that the parish information was slightly incorrect and I didn't want to go through Sankt Stefans without some confirmation I was looking in the correct place, so I came onto this forum.

Thank you, Eva and Helmer, for all your help. It is much appreciated, and I was able to find my ancestor.

Thank you.
