Titel: Fuglebjerg Missing data?
Indlæg af: Jan McLaughlin Dato 04 Maj 2015 - 22:45
I am looking for the father/mother of Anders Hansen
who is my 4th great grandfather

Birth 1756 in  Fuglebjerg, Soro, Denmark

I found him in the 1887 census and his death in 1898, but the Fuglebjerg records don't appear to have the birth records of 1756.  Or am I just missing them?  Can you help me?

Hi Jan.

Try Krummerup parish, here are records from 1736.

But: You find him in the 1887 census and his death in 1898, it must be 1787 and 1798 I guess.

One volume covers the two parishes.  The usual entries begin with 1760.  The book or some of the pages now bound with it has earlier entries, but they are suggestive of a now lost earlier parish record book.  The confirmation entries for about 1770-1772 give no hint of the confirmands father.

Other records which may eventually become available, e.g. probates and contracts, can take you back another generation.

Thank you both.  I think Ralph got it right.  There are missing pages.  But I don't know how to search probate and contract records.  Any help you can give me, would be much appreciated.

Thanks,  Jan
