I am looking for Ollof Jacobsen or Jakobsen. He would have been in the Copenhagen area in 1854. He may have part of his name Adolph. In about 1890 he was known to be a mason. Can anyone assist me to locate him. He is my Great great grandfather
This web site has been very helpful to me in the past and I really appreciate any assistance I can get as I do not speak or read Danish.
Thankyou Karen

Hi Karen,
Jacob Oluf Gundersen was confirmed in Holmen, Sokkelund, København in 1841, 1833-1850 opslag 244 nr 34. According to that record he was born 4 May 1827, parents Hans Jacob Gundersen and Inger Christine Schou.
Sincerely,
Paul
Hi Karen,
What is your source for mason Oluf Jacobsen being the father of Adolph Godfred Jacobsen, born 14 Nov. 1854?
I refer to your thread https://www.slaegtogdata.dk/forum/index.php/topic,85799.0.html
Adolph's father is not mentioned in the records, but it seems correct that his surname would have been Jacobsen.
Unfortunately, almost all declarations (before 1872) from fathers allowing the child to get their surname, have been lost
or destroyed, see http://www.grifo.dk/slaegt_db.php?id=772
Best regards,
Inger Toudal
Adolph named his father and his mother on his marriage certificate. His mother was named Mathilde Juliane Dauw which is correct. His father was named Olluf Jacobsen with a occupation of Mason. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Mathilde Juliane married Martin Olsen 27th April 1860 6 years AFTER Adolph was born in Saint Olai, Helsingor, Frederiksborg. Iam really trying to locate his father.
Thanking you
Karen
