I've been looking for the death record of Maren Larsdatter (b. 28 Nov 1724) in Karlstrup parish, married to Søren Olufsen/Olsen and lived in Karlslunde parish.  I believe this is probably her, and I'd like confirmation of my transcription.  (1796 #3)

I read:
3 Dom: 1p Trinit: Søren Olsens Enke   70

I assume that her death age being about one year off wouldn't be uncommon.

Thanks,
Art

I read the same, Art. The age of 70 means that she was on her way to 70.
Ages at death and in censuses, especially for elderly people, are often unreliable, sometimes up to 5 to 10 years. I have seen that a lot of times.

Ole, thank you for the confirmation.  These earlier parish records tend to be much more of a challenge than the standardized forms that started around 1814.

I've noticed variations in ages/dates in church and census forms in both Danish and USA records.  And transcription errors are also a challenge.
