This photograph appears to be of a Boy Scout outing including my father as a boy.
Most of the boys are holding walking sticks.
The date on the monument says 5 June 1849.
It appears to be some memorial.
Can anyone please recognise this monument and its location?
I would estimate the photograph was taken around 1927.
