Hello this looks like the place for me to look for my grandmothers roots.I am a little shamed not to be able too write this in Danish but that needs a bit more practice.
My grandmother was born in probably in københavn 27/2.1926 and died in Iceland in 26/3.2008.She was abdopted by Jón Laxdal an Icelandic man and Inger Laxdal his wife wich was Danish. She was born Inger Lehmeier from Randers.Jón died in1928 just after the abdopted her so she and her mother mowed to Danmark and lived in Gammel Tølløse.She married my grandfather in 1948 and mowed to Iceland. She never wanted to know about her bloodparents but me and other relatives really want to know about were she came from.
My niece who died before my grandmother lived in Danmark for some period and checked if there were any information about my grandmother and was told that it was but since she was alive she had to ask for that information herself.I dont know where she was looking for these information.I hope all you clever peoble will be able to help me too solve this cause i have always been very curius about this.
Hi Einar,
I found this Lehmeier, Knud Peter in the København police register which dated up to 1923. http://www.politietsregisterblade.dk/component/sfup/?controller=politregisterblade&task=viewRegisterblad&id=1557638&searchname=polit_simple Note that Knud Peter was born in Randers.
Here is the same family in the 1925 census. The one problem I found is their daughter Anne Marguarite was born 30 Jul 1925 which means that Inger probably is not of this family, but who knows. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=93323#93323,15466548

Wow you are amasing. My mother was wery intrested in this mysteri about my grandmother and even thou se was her daugther in law she gave way more intrest in this then other family member. But she always suspected that she was born in Iceland but why i dont know.So now i will look in Iceland.Thank you wery much i have know about this for 25 years know and this is the biggest breakthrou so far.
Ok this strang but after talking to Icelandic register official they say that all there document say that she is born in Danmark. There is no birthcertificete but her adobtionpaper are here.Icelandic officals will take few days to send it to me we will see if there are some information there.
This is a year old question about my grandmother but i have found some new information. There are no evidence that she is born in Iceland this is probably something that her mother gave danish authorities informations about and is not correct.According to her adoption papers her mother name is Ellen Marie Juhl and her father name is Henry Madsen. But no date of birth so googling these names gives so many possibilities that i dont know where to look. But hopefully some one here have better tools to look then i.
Best regards
Einar

It looks as Ellen Marie Juhl gets married in 1930 but i cant find any tracks of her after that.Shouldn't there been some trace if she lived and died in Danmark?
Marriage in Sundby Kirke in 1930:

The husband, Marius Rasmussen Grønveng, has address is Slagelse, so the couple may have moved there.
Apaprently not, Marius is member of the butchers society in Copenhagen.

Marius Rasmussen Grønvang died in Slagelse in 1938. His address was Løvegade 51, same as in the 1933 directory for Slagelse, so they probably lived there from the wedding on.

So she had at least 2 daughters she gave for abdotion and married 2 times.I dont know Danish history at this time well so i cant read between the lines. Was this common for women with her social status. But i can not find anything about her life after this.Emil Jørgensen which she marries does not show up in any page i look for him.
I also want to thank you so much for giving your time and effort to help me with this that is priceless.
Best regards
Einar
