My grandmother, Petrea Kjaersgaard was born in Kobenhavn on August 25, 1882. I found her on the 1885 census living at Baggesensgade 6. I do not know the parish just the street address. She had a child out of wedlock on October 29, 1908 named Anna Margarete (Mjelde). In the 1911 census her family lives at Holger Danskes vej 42, but not Petrea. Is it possible to find out where her daughter was born and who the father was? The child was given the last name Mjelde because Petrea's father paid Knud Mjelde (my grandfather) passage to USA in exchange for Knud to marry her when she arrived in USA with the child. I am at a loss as to how to research this. Any information will be helpful.

I have no record about Anna's birth date other than October 1908. It seems to me that Petrea worked for a Dr. Panum in 1902, is there any way to figure out how long she worked there. Another thought I had was where was Knud at this time because I had been told he worked for her father somewhere. I am going to continue looking for more info on Anna, a while back I noticed that Randers was mentioned, she could have been born there.
