How do I follow Jacob, son of Thomas Madsen, #26/19, Opslag #460, Aalborg Æ 1- 55 after 1849 entry?
Regards, Rog Nelson
Hi Roger,
I have now followed Jacob son of Thomas Madsen from your entry in 1849 until 1858. Here is;
in your entry
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18486,1108224 (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18486,1108224)
is written
Veile 23C131
That means that he is moved. And it means;
Moved to Vejle Amt, Lægd ("Parish") no. 23 (Herslev) in the year C (1853) written in with the no 131
So you have to go to the book for Vejle for the year C (1853) and find Lægd 23. Here he will be with the no 131.
It is here;
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18617,1142240 (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18617,1142240)
Again notice;
Aalb 43D64
So moved back to Aalborg Amt, Lægd ("Parish") no. 43 (Sejlfjord) in the year D (1854) written in with the no 64.

Kjøbh R-g2985
Moved to Kopenhagen in the year G (1857), written in with the no 2985
Notice that Kopenhagen City does not have Lægd no. (a special book for the capital).
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=17136258#187160,31766860 (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=17136258#187160,31766860)
Aalborg 32H260
Moved to Aalborg Amt, Lægd ("Parish") no. 32 (Nørre Tranders ) in the year H (1858) written in with the no 260
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18531,1120883 (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18531,1120883)
Here there is not a remark, so he should be in the parish, Nørre Tranders in 1860.
That means you can go til the next "Hovedrulle" where he should be with the old no 260.
But I have stopped here, because the change of the registration.
In 1860 Nørre Tranders should be in "5. udskrivningskreds, lægd nummer 423"
This site can be a help for you to find Lægd, Parish an so on. (Sorry, but it is in Danish).
http://www.laegdsruller.dk/index.php (http://www.laegdsruller.dk/index.php)
Hope this explanation was a little help for you next time you are looking in "Lægdsruller".
This time you had a guy whom moved a lot.
Jacob is replaced by Frederik. Jacob is then cancelled from the list.

He was replaced by Frederik but can still be found in lægd 423 Nørre Tranders in 1863, no H 260

Jan & Verner,
Thank you very much!
Kindest regards, Rog
Will you translate the information in the last 2 columns for Jacob Thomasen - København 1857G, Opslag #300, #2985, please?

I can try...
Amalienborg hos Prinds
Wilhelm som Gaardskarl
1/12-58
Amalienborg (the kings residens), in Prince
Wilhelm (Service) as handyman (?).
1/12-58
Fra Aalborg 43-36
1855 Soldat 1 J corps 30/5
Perm? (Permitteret?) fra 4 Cp? 34
Gaardskarl
1/12 58 flyttebevis
til Aalborg 32 Lægd
From Aalborg 43-36
1855 Soldier 1 J corps (1 corps of Jutland?) 30/5
Repatriated? from 4 Cp (Corps?) 34
Handyman
1/12 58 letter for move
to Aalborg 32 Lægd (military equivalent for Parish).
Others may correct me. This Lægdsruller are difficult to understand (I think).
Do the remarks in Aalborg 1858 H-Tilgangsrulle for Jacob Thomasen, #260, help to explain the previous remarks for Jacob from København 1857 G, #2985 as translated by Jan?
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=16481031#18531,1120883
I think I misunderstood what I wrote about Jacob. Jacob replaced Frederik.
That's why Jacob can be found i Nørre Tranders 1863.

Please, Can I get help with the translation request (6 Feb) for Jacob (#260) in Aalborg 1855 H Tilgangrulle?
Verner has already translated the important part of that.

Here I can see that I earlier wrote that 1 J Corps might be 1 Jutland Corps, but it is 1 Jægercorps. A special force.
Thank you for all the help. Sorry for the extra question. I had my notes mixed up on the copies of the records I printed. My mistake, thank you once again.
Kindest regards, Rog Nelson
