Hello...I wonder if someone can make out the word in column 19 of the attached clipping of Morfar's entry of the 1940 Copenhagen census, please. It's not what I expected and I've tried to match the word in a Danish dictionary  without luck.

He would have been about 60 years old at the time and his career started as a cabinet maker and ended as a furniture store manager.

I read it as
Expedetient - which I guess is misspelled for Expedient - or Ekspedient in more recent Danish. A clerk, a man behind the dish in a shop e.g.
