Titel: man moved frequently, where is he after 1900?
Indlæg af: Lisa Petersen Dato 13 Apr 2016 - 23:00
Hi,

I am trying to trace Oscar Louis Frederik Zillmer (also Zilmer/Zelmer/Selmer) and am having difficulty because he moved a lot and lived in cities.  He was born in Aarhus in 1866, lived in Hillerød in 1880 and 1884, married in Fredericia in 1892 and was in the lægdsruller there in 1892, and the last I know he was in Svendborg in the lægdsruller in 1894.  I assume he was still in Svendborg in 1900 because the lægdsrulle says he was dismissed that year.  After this, I know nothing, except that his wife was still alive in 1916.

Hi Lisa

In the old forum http://www.dis-danmark.dk/forum/read.php?1,58491,58491]http://www.dis-danmark.dk/forum/read.php?1,58491,58491 (http://[url) I can see, that his father died before 1892.

His mother died January 10th 1916 see http://ao.salldata.dk/vis.php?bsid=150159&side=190&kb=KB:%20K%C3%B8benhavn,%20Sokkelund,%20Garnison%201911-1920%20D%20%28KM%29&height=641 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis.php?bsid=150159&side=190&kb=KB:%20K%C3%B8benhavn,%20Sokkelund,%20Garnison%201911-1920%20D%20%28KM%29&height=641)

I found her in the register to probates https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?epid=14815658#51260,37961221 (https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?epid=14815658#51260,37961221) page 481/519. I don´t know what 3/80 - 2.0 means and how to find the probate, but maybe somebody do?

Oskar Fredrik Louis may be mentioned in the probate.

Kind Regards
Ole

Hej Lisa,

Skifteprotokollerne finde her:
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/billedviser?epid=14809180#51116,37872892

Men jeg kunne ikke finde noget. Hvis du selv vil søge, så vær opmærksom på, at der bag i hver bog findes et navnebaseret indeks.

Poulas begravelse er noteret her:
http://www.kbharkiv.dk/kildeviser/#!?collection=5&item=71050
hvor der står, at hun døde af apoplexia

Thanks, Ole, for the very helpful information.  Yes, it would be nice to get the mother's probate.  I don't know what 3/80 2.0. means either.

When the mother died, she was living at Istedgade 24.  According to the 1916 Census, her oldest child, Dine Johanne Antonie Zillmer Blicher, lived there.

John, Mange tak for linket til Hvidebogen.  Jeg kan også ikke finde skiftet til moderen.  Hvideboger har en navneregister i slutningen, men Pouline Amalia Zillmer f. Honig er ikke i det.

Tak for hjelpen.

Hi Lisa,

Pouline is not in the 1916 census because she dies before the registration was made in February 1916.

The family is not registered at Istedgade 24 in the 1911 census.

Here is she with a son:

Here is Pouline in FT1906 Aarhusgade 9 registered as a widow, she has lived in Copenhagen since 1878 when she arrived from Hillerød:

Hi Lisa

3/80 - 2.0 must be a reference to the probate. You could ask in the forum "Slægtsforskning - metode og teknik" where to find the probate. And if not online, then try the forum "Opslag i bøger og på arkiver m.v." Many people are willing to help at the archives, if the know where to look.

Hi Verner,

Thank you in advance for looking for Pouline's probate papers!  I am hoping it will list the heirs.  I don't know if Oscar had any children, so if he died before the mother and did not leave any children, there may be no mention of him.

Thanks for your help.

From Pouline's probate:
It tells nothing about Oscar, but Pouline's son in law Journalist Blicher and I think you know him.

So Oscar is still wanted !!

I am disappointed that Pouline's probate doesn't list her children, but thank you, Verner, for looking this up for me.  You've been a great help over the years!

I finally found out what happened to Oscar Louis Frederik Zillmer.  Last week I found his widow in the index to the 1911 Danish Census on familysearch.org, living in Fredericia, having moved there from Svendborg in 1905.  I searched deaths in Svendborg church books and found that Oscar died there on 26 Jan 1904.  His early death at age 37 explains why I had trouble finding him after he was dismissed from the levying rolls.  I wish I could thank the volunteer who indexed the widow's name on the 1911 Census!  And now of course I have new leads to follow to find out what happened to the widow.

Never give up!
