Was the Frederiksborg castle chapel part of the Hillerød church parish? On AO both the Frederikborg slotsogn entries and the Hillerød sogn entries point to the same entries (Hillerød sogn).
In the funeral for Tekla Franziska Carstens (#6) the note at the top of the page seems to indicate that the funeral was held in the chapel.

Thanks for any info,

Slots sogn = castle parish
Frederiksborg slotssogn is in Frederiksborg amt, Lynge-Frederiksborg herred, Frederiksborg slotssogn
Hillerød sogn is in Frederiksborg amt, Lynge-Kronborg herred, Hillerød sogn
no funeral was held in a chapel
What does the reference to "slotssognet" at the top of the death record and in the index at the front of that church book mean?

There were two parishes, but only one church (Frederiksborg Slotskirke) for several centuries.
In 1874 a new chapel was built at the Hillerød cemetery.
In the 1980's the chapel was renovated and enlarged, and consecrated as church in 1987 (Hillerød Kirke).

Slotssognet at the top of the page in the churchbook indicates that Tekla Franciska died in Frederiksborg
Slotssogn (rural area), not in the town of Hillerød (Hillerød Købstads Sogn).

Thanks Inge for the information.
I think I'm getting it now. There was a parish of people in the town and castle and a separate parish for the nearby rural areas. Since, until recently, the rural parish had no separate church it was allowed limited use of the Slotskirke that was part of the castle. Likely one priest kept the records for both parishes in one church book. Thekla was part of the Slotssogn (her husband became a church Provost).

It's rather so, that there was a parish of people in the the town: Hillerød Købstad,
and a parish for the castle and the nearby rural areas: Frederiksborg Slotssogn.
But until 1987 they had to share the same church: Frederiksborg Slotskirke.
In 1830 the old cemetery in Hillerød was abolished, and a new one was established.
It doesn't say whether there was a chapel at the new Hillerød cemetery before 1874,
but I guess there was.
Actually, the chapels at the cemeteries in the Hillerød area were used for funeral ceremonies:

I forgot to write that the first church in Hillerød was built around 1620.
The king didn't want people to attend the church at the castle, so he decided that there should be two congregations or parishes:
one for people at the court, and one for other people.
The first church blew down in 1624 or 1625, and people were allowed temporarily(!) to attend Frederiksborg Slotskirke.

Thanks again Inger!
This is a fascinating detail of Danish history that I would never have learned if I had not been trying to determine exactly where one of my great-grandmothers had died.
