I would really appreciate English translation of the following records:

Nicolai Christensen and Ane Ramusdatter:
Betrothal, 3 May 1767:  http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=58 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=58)
Marriage, 24 Feb 1768:  http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=69 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=69)

Birth/Baptism of son, Anders Nicolaisen, 31 Jul 1768:  http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=51 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=51)

What is the entry at the top of p. 330 that includes the name Nicolai/Nicolaj Christensen?  http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?side=77&bsid=151734&side=77 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?side=77&bsid=151734&side=77)  I'm looking for the death/burial record of Ane Rasmusdatter who died between the birth of Anders Nicolaisen on 31 Jul 1768 and Nicolai Christensen's 2nd marriage to Sidse Sorensdatter on 4 Dec 1774.

Thanks so much.

This is not his christening record. It is his confirmation in 1759.

The Betrothal is not the 3. af May.

It takes place the 9. Mars (1767) In fact it is written before April.

Nicolaij Christensen og Ane Rasmusdatt. begge af Magleby  (both of Magleby)

The marriage is the 3. af May 1767

Necolaij Christensen og Ane Rasmusdatt af Magleby

baaret af Karen Christensdatter (carried of)

Is it page 230?

Nicolaj Christensens wife is burried. No name nor age is written.

Remember to write left- or right-hand of the pages!

Arne,

Thanks very much for your help.  FamilySearch has two marriages indexed, one on 3 May 1767 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FK45-DL2 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FK45-DL2)) and one on 24 Feb 1768 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FK45-63D (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FK45-63D)), so thank you for the correction on the dates.  They seem to always list a betrothal as a marriage.

What I think is a birth or baptism record is on p. 265 (left side of image), in the middle, and begins with "9 p Trinit: og 31 July dobt Necolay Christensen..." (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=51&height=949 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=51&height=949))

Thank you Inge for the correction that it is a confirmation, not a christening record.  I wrote it incorrectly.  Can someone confirm the date?

Thanks again for your help Arne.  I really appreciate it.

Arne,

Thank you very much for that baptismal translation.  It's very helpful.

Could you look again at http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=69 (http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=69)?  Left side of image, fourth entry below 1768.  The year appears to clearly be 1768 and the date is 24 ??? (Necolay Christensen and Ane Rasmusdatter).  Is there a different entry you found for 3 May 1767?

The confirmation took place Dom. Qvasimodogeniti 1759, i.e. April 22nd.

This is Necolaj Christensen and his wife in 1787:
Præstø, Stevns, Magleby Stevns, Magleby By, , 65. familie, FT 1787, A3912
Navn:    Alder:    Status:    Stilling i familien:    Erhverv:    Fødested:
Nicolai Christensen     50     gift     Mand     Husmand og Tjener
Sidse Sørensdatter     49     gift     hans kone
(...)

And in 1801:
Præstø, Stevns, Magleby Stevns, Magleby by, , 38. familie, FT 1801, A3918
Navn:    Alder:    Status:    Stilling i familien:    Erhverv:    Fødested:

Sidse Sørensdatter     61     gift     hans kone

I have not been able to find his baptism in neither Magleby nor Holtug, but I found a Nicolaj Christensen in Varpelev, a neighboring parish. It may or may not be the one you are looking for.
Varpelev sogn, 1738:
Dom. 3. Adv. [14. december]
Døbt Christen Pedersens og Karen Christensdotters Søn, kaldet Nicolaj. Båret af Ingeborg Beks. Fadderne: Lars Hansen, Hans Jacobsens, Johannes Larsens og Peder Hansens Hustruer.

The transcription is from http://www.varpelev.dk/kirkebog/KB_1723-1776_fodt.html

The date of the wedding in Magleby: http://ao.salldata.dk/vis1.php?bsid=151734&side=69&height=750
1768:
24 Ditto (i.e. the same date as the previous couple. The month is February).

The betrothal takes place in March 1767, as Arne stated (the text has Martij). I am not sure what the exact date is, but I think the number is 8.

It is not stated why the marriage is written twice. Normally a marriage takes place a month or two after the betrothal – not one year.

I have not seen other children than Anders in 1767 – 1768 and his birth could fit both dates of marriage.

Arne and Inge,

I am very grateful for your help.  You have really exceeded my expectations.

That does seem very odd about the two marriage dates.  One problem with the 1768 date is that son Anders was baptized on 31 Jul 1768, so would indicate some premarital relations.  So based on that and the betrothal date, it seems like the 3 May 1767 marriage date is more likely.  Nicolai was a fairly uncommon name, so it also seems unlikely that there were two different Nicolai Christensen + Ane Rasmusdatter marriages in the small parish of Magleby.  Maybe the parish priest made a mistake?

I have a concern about Nicolai's confirmation date in 1759.  According to the two census records, he was born in 1737 or 1738.  That would make his confirmation age as 21 or 22.  Isn't that extremely old for a confirmation in that era?

The Varpelev possibility is very intriguing.

Thanks so much for your help and expertise.

Kerry

The age for confirmation at that era is 15 - 17, so yes as 21 year he is rather old, but it is seen now and then. He could have been serving a farmer somewhere or the parents couldn't afford it.

We are also earlier than the school was obligatory.
