Greetings....
I have noticed when searching the Åbenrå census that under the age column it states something
similar to this..."Carl Andersen...6/7 1909...Ugift...Datter"
This is from an 1821 census and everyone has somethiing similar after their name as well.
Could someone please explain what this means.

A reference would be good.
There where no census in 1821 but in 1921.
Carl Andersen...6/7 1909...Ugift...Datter is nonsense but
Carl Andersen...6/7 1909...Ugift...Søn would tell about Carl Andersen that he was a boy born July 6, 1909 and that he of course was unmarried.

Hi Poul-Erik
My face is pretty red right now...I guess I'm showing my age.
I read that as 1821. I know there was no 1821 census.
I feel properly reprimanded. Thanks

ugift datter = unmarried daugter... That's why it was nonsense  ;D
