Birth records with no baptisms

In the 1870s records of Frederiksberg, København there are many births recorded (other than still births) that list only date and parents' names and address, with no name or baptism for the child:

Does this indicate the family was not Lutheran or were there other reasons?

Do you have an example (opslag number)

If the birth has a serial number, the child is born in Frederiksberg parish, but probably baptized in another parish. If a child is not born in the parish where the child is baptized, then the record will be without a serial number in the baptismal parish's register.

Couldn't it be that the child was born in one parish and baptized in another, and that the baptism parish  didn't inform the birth parish?

Sorry I didn't notice Helmer's answer.

Thanks Helmer and Eva.   In this case the family may have been Catholic, as I believe the child was the Amanda Volder age 5 listed in my other query:   http://www.slaegtogdata.dk/forum/index.php/topic,43282.0.html

Homer, then you will  have to look for the baptism in a Catholic church, possibly in Copenhagen.

Did the law require that all births be recorded by the Lutheran churches regardless of faith?

I recall a similar record in a different parish where the family was Baptist, but it was noted in the margin.

The odd thing in 1870s Frederiksberg records is that there are such records every few pages.

Yes - and it still does! The Danish National Church is the birth record office of the Danish State - except for Southern Jutland. When that part of the country (Northern Schleswig) was incorporated in the German Empire, the legislation was changed, so birth's were registered by secular authorities. In 1920 when the area was made Danish, they kept German legislation.
